Michael Spence is a distinguished anthropologist who retired Professor Emeritus from the Department of Anthropology, University of Western Ontario. He conducted extensive research in Mexico and Ontario. This type was identified in his publication on cultures of Mexico.
Description of Physical Characteristics and Flaking Pattern:
This is a small crudely made triangular point with a thin cross section. The blade is excurvate with a convex base and rounded basal corners. This point is crudely made from a flake with minimal to retouching of the edges. No flaking is commonly seen across either face.
